I think it should be Mercurial :-p

git might be attracting a lot of attention now because of Linus/Linux, but that doesn't mean it's the only option and it sure doesn't mean it's the best.

Although in the end I'm sure git quircks could be ironed out. I don't mind, as long as we start using centralized VCSes ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08969133867152074451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17722541.post-46419837387126891022008-04-13T22:53:00.000+02:002008-04-13T22:53:00.000+02:00@Bram: did you do 'git gc --prune --aggressive'?@Bram: did you do 'git gc --prune --aggressive'?Ariya Hidayathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03121582140059106015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17722541.post-21170711298961133472008-04-13T22:30:00.000+02:002008-04-13T22:30:00.000+02:00I use Bazaar www.bazaar-vcs.org, hosting my projec...I use Bazaar www.bazaar-vcs.org, hosting my projects at www.launchpad.net .

There I have free Bugtracker, Translation Tool, Question & Answer Module and a Blueprint Manager to plan future features.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03070975267884789099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17722541.post-71806975324451524922008-04-13T21:36:00.000+02:002008-04-13T21:36:00.000+02:00git rocks, but git-svn has the awkward side effect...git rocks, but git-svn has the awkward side effect that my repository is *much* bigger than the SVN version.

For example, I checked out the rsibreak source from KDE SVN with git-svn, after some minor commits, the repository is about 73 MB in size. Pretty much if you ask me.

I wonder where that comes from.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06604353584091124315noreply@blogger.com
