ubiquitous snack

Still not bored with my cuisine mumbo-jumbo? Here is another one: pisang goreng or banana fritters. This lovely snack can be found virtually anywhere in my country with virtually zero effort. But, it is also easy to make, probably with virtually no skill at all.

Na, isst du noch oder kochst du schon? :-)

  1. Are these your own photographs or stock photographs? If the former, then I foresee a glorious career as a food photographer!

  2. Not tired of them at all ;) I was in your country this summer, unfortunately it was only for a few days at Bintan, so I didn't really get a chance to try the cuisine very much :(

I'm sure I'll be going back though, as I have a good friend in Singapore, so your tips are most welcome!

  5. Boudewijn: I took the pictures by myself. They could be better of course, if I had the gears and the skills.

Elvis: so hopefully more to come. BTW, try http://wikitravel.org/en/Indonesia.

John Orford: or just drop by :-)

Matt: the first few hits from http://www.google.com/search?&q=recipe+pisang+goreng are good enough.
