Arthuring Gnash

Now that Gnash is actively developed, making a Qt 4 binding and let it render using Arthur will be a wonderful addition to KDE 4's Konqueror. Or, perhaps even Plasma. Of course, Konqueror can use the Netscape plug-in version, but accelerated rendering as well as making it available to other apps (yes, yes, I know Flash is proprietary and there is SVG) should be cooler, right?

nah, nah, proprietary or not - i think as Gnash is free software, it's fine. i'd love to see some better flash support, too...

Sounds like a nice project :-)

You are right making it native available is cooler. Flash may be proprietary but Gnash is not, and KDE are after all the inclusive desktop. Support everything better than everybody else:-)

Funny thing is, I was thinking about Flash and Plasma the yesterday and realized that it could be a cool combination. I think Flash plasmoids could result in some really weird stuff.
